Circuit/System Description

The K9 Body Control Module provides the control circuit 1091, control circuit 1094, control circuit 2679, control circuit 2680, control circuit 2681, control circuit 2682 and control circuit 6128 with voltage and ground to the appropriate lock and unlock control circuits of the door latches. The lock and unlock control circuits of the liftgate latch, left rear and driver door latches are connected together. Transitioning of the lock actuators to the lock or unlocked position depends upon which control circuits receive voltage and which control circuits receive ground.

The K9 Body Control Module provides the S45A Liftgate Release Switch - Exterior with approximately 7.5 V to the signal circuit 5797. When the switch is pressed, the K9 Body Control Module will detect the voltage drop in the signal circuit 5797, it will verify the doors have been commanded to unlock and will command the A23C Liftgate Latch to activate. If the doors are locked, the body control module will ignore the function of the S45A Liftgate Release Switch-Exterior.
