Circuit/System Verification
- Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify the scan tool parameter: Engine Oil Pressure = 0 kPa (0 PSI)
- If not the specified state

- Go to next step: If the specified state
- If not the specified state
- Verify the engine has the correct oil level and the correct oil pressure before continuing with this diagnostic. Refer to Oil Pressure Diagnosis and Testing in Displays and Gauges Component Replacement Reference
- Engine Running
- Verify the scan tool parameter: Engine Oil Pressure (or Engine Oil Pressure Sensor) matches the pressure observed during the Oil Pressure Diagnosis and Testing.
- If not the specified state
Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the specified state
- If not the specified state
- If equipped, verify the engine oil pressure value displayed on the P16 Instrument Cluster matches the Engine Oil Pressure (or Engine Oil Pressure Sensor) scan tool parameter.
- If not the specified state
Test or replace the component: P16 Instrument Cluster
- Go to next step: If the specified state
- If not the specified state
- All OK.
NOTE:
Record the engine oil pressure observed while performing the Oil Pressure Diagnosis and Testing.
