Removal Procedure
WARNING:
Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Warning .
CAUTION:
Refer to Brake Fluid Effects on Paint and Electrical Components Caution .
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
- Clean all dirt and foreign material from the brake hose ends and brake pipe fittings.
Disconnect the brake pipe fitting (1) from the brake hose at the rear brake pipe side.
Cap or plug the brake pipe fitting end to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
Disconnect the brake pipe fitting (1) from the brake hose at the wheel cylinder side.
Cap or plug the brake pipe fitting end to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
Remove the brake hose retaining clip (1) from the brake hose mounting bracket on the body frame.
- Detach the brake hose from the brake hose mounting bracket.
Remove the brake hose retaining clip (1) from the brake hose mounting bracket on the rear axle.
- Remove the brake hose from the brake hose mounting bracket.
