Removal Procedure
WARNING:
Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Warning .
CAUTION:
Refer to Brake Fluid Effects on Paint and Electrical Components Caution .
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
- Clean all dirt and foreign material from the brake hose and the brake pipe fittings.
Disconnect the brake pipe fitting (1) from the brake hose (2).
Cap the brake pipe fitting to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
Remove the brake hose retaining clip (1) from the brake hose mounting bracket on the body frame.
- Detach the brake hose from the brake hose mounting bracket.
Detach the brake hose (1) from the strut mounted brake hose retaining bracket (2).
Remove the brake hose fitting banjo bolt (1) from the brake caliper.
- Remove the two copper brake hose sealing washers (2) from the brake hose (3).
Discard the two copper brake hose sealing washers.
- Remove the brake hose (3) from the vehicle.
