Preliminary Procedures Front Compartment Front Sight Shield Replacement Mark the location of the hood primary and secondary latch before removing the bolts with a grease pencil.
1	Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Bolt [2x] CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
2	Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Procedure Disconnect the hood secondary latch cable from the hood primary and secondary latch. Disconnect the electrical connector. Align the hood primary and secondary latch if necessary.

Procedure

Disconnect the hood secondary latch cable from the hood primary and secondary latch.
Disconnect the electrical connector.
Align the hood primary and secondary latch if necessary.
