Engine Oil Cooler Cleaning and Inspection

- CAUTION:
Refer to Engine Oil Cooler Debris Caution .
Inspect the oil cooler core (1) and the oil cooler housing (2) for cracks or casting imperfections.
- Inspect the oil cooler housing for damaged bolt hole threads.
- Inspect the oil cooler housing and core for damaged seal surfaces.
- Inspect the oil cooler core for damaged or broken cooling fins.
- Inspect for restrictions within the coolant passages of the core or housing.
- Inspect for restrictions within the oil passages of the core or housing.
- Inspect for a leaking coolant hose fitting (3).
