Filling Procedure

    Clean away all dirt and debris from the transmission fluid fill plug area.

  2. Remove the transmission fluid fill plug (1).
  3. Fill the transmission with transmission fluid, until even with the bottom of the fill plug hole. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers (M13)
  4. Install the transmission fluid fill plug and tighten to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).
    5. NOTE:

    Ensure the clutch pedal is NOT depressed.

  5. Run the engine in the Neutral position at 2800 RPM's for 2 minutes to allow the fluid to recirculate.
  6. Turn the engine Off.
  7. Allow a dwell time of 10 minutes for the fluid level to return to the oil sump.
  8. Remove the fill plug and verify the fluid is even with the bottom of fill plug hole. Add or remove fluid as necessary.
  9. Install the transmission fluid fill plug and tighten to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).
  10. Remove the drain pan.
  11. Lower the vehicle.
