Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Remove the fuel pump. Fuel Pump Replacement (LT4) .
  2. Remove the fuel injection fuel rail assemblies. Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement - Bank 1 (LT4) , and Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement - Bank 2 (LT4) .

    Disconnect the two electrical connectors (1).

    Remove the valve lifter oil manifold bolts (1).

  5. Remove the valve lifter oil manifold (2).
  6. Remove the gasket (3) from the valve lifter oil manifold and DISCARD.
  7. Transfer parts as necessary.
