Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
NOTE:

All gasket surfaces should be free of oil or other foreign material during assembly.

  1. Fig 1: Exploded View Of Valve Lifter Oil Manifold, Bolts And Gasket With Tightening Sequence

    Install a NEW gasket (1) on the valve lifter oil manifold.

  2. Set the valve lifter oil manifold (2) onto the engine.
    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Install the valve lifter oil manifold bolts (3).

    Tighten

    1. First pass in sequence 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
    2. Final pass in sequence 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

    Connect the two electrical connectors (1).

  5. Install the fuel injection fuel rail assemblies. Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement - Bank 1 (LT1) , and Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement - Bank 2 (LT1) .
  6. Install the fuel pump. Fuel Pump Replacement (LT1) .
