Single Use Fasteners and Components
- Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe - Position 1
- Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe - Position 2
- WARNING:
The noise cancelling foam component MUST be replaced if it has been exposed to engine fluids. Failure to replace the noise cancelling foam component that has been exposed to engine fluids may result in an engine fire resulting in catastrophic engine damage, and possible injury or death.
Remove the fuel pump insulator (1).
Remove the low pressure fuel feed pipe to LH rocker cover bolt (4).
- Remove the redundant clip (3). Remove low pressure fuel feed pipe (1) from the fuel pump (2).
- CAUTION:
This vehicle is equipped with torque-to-yield or single use fasteners. Install a NEW torque-to-yield or single use fastener when installing this component. Failure to replace the torque-to-yield or single use fastener could cause damage to the vehicle or component.
NOTE:- DO NOT reuse the fuel feed intermediate pipe - position 2.
- The tightening order and torque are critical to proper fuel system fit and function. Be sure to follow installation and tightening steps exactly.
Remove and DISCARD the fuel feed intermediate pipe - position 2 (1) that connects the fuel pump to the fuel feed intermediate pipe - position 1 by loosening the fuel feed pipe fittings (2).
- CAUTION:
This vehicle is equipped with torque-to-yield or single use fasteners. Install a NEW torque-to-yield or single use fastener when installing this component. Failure to replace the torque-to-yield or single use fastener could cause damage to the vehicle or component.
NOTE:- DO NOT reuse the fuel feed intermediate pipe - position 1.
- The tightening order and torque are critical to proper fuel system fit and function. Be sure to follow installation and tightening steps exactly.
Remove the high pressure LH to RH fuel rail crossover pipe bolt (3).
- Remove and DISCARD the fuel feed intermediate pipe - position 1 by loosening the pipe fittings (1 and 2).
