Removal Procedure

- Remove the starter - Starter Replacement (LT1, LT4) .
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
NOTE:Ensure that the teeth of the EN-42386-A flywheel holding tool mesh with the teeth of the engine flywheel.
Install the EN-42386-A flywheel holding tool (2) and bolts. Use one M10-1.5 x 120 mm and one M10 - 1.5 x 45 mm bolt for proper tool installation. Tighten the EN-42386-A flywheel holding tool bolts (1) to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
- Remove the camshaft position actuator magnet - Camshaft Position Actuator Magnet Replacement (LT4) , or Camshaft Position Actuator Magnet Replacement (LT1) .
- CAUTION:
The camshaft position actuator solenoid valves must be kept parallel to the engine front cover during removal and installation. The camshaft position actuator solenoid valves can be damaged if they become wedged or stuck during this process.
Remove and DISCARD the camshaft position actuator solenoid valve (1).
