Removal Procedure

- Drain the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill)
- Drain the engine oil. Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement
- Oil Level Indicator Tube - Remove - Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement
- Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle - Remove - Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle Replacement (LGX - Coupe) , or Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle Replacement (LGX - Convertible)
Electrical Connector (1) @ Engine Oil Level Indicator Switch - Disconnect
- Engine Oil Cooler Outlet Pipe - Remove - Engine Oil Cooler Pipe Replacement (LGX, Outlet)
- Engine Oil Cooler Inlet Pipe - Remove - Engine Oil Cooler Pipe Replacement (LGX, Inlet)
- Engine Mount Bracket - Remove [2x]
- Remove the transmission fluid cooler pipe clip bolts at the oil pan. Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Replacement (LGX With M13, With 1LE Package) , or Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Replacement (LGX With M5T, With V03) , or Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Replacement (LGX With M5T, Without V03)
- Catalytic Converter Brace Bracket - Remove - Catalytic Converter Brace Bracket Replacement (LGX)
Remove the lower transmission to engine bolts. (1)
Oil Pan Bolt (1-4) - Remove [17x]
- Oil Pan (5) - Remove
- Clean, inspect, and overhaul the oil pan as needed. Oil Pan Overhaul
