Using all of the clutch plates, set up the measurement as shown using DT-8001 Dial Indicator (1).
- 1-2-3-4-6-7-8-10-Reverse Clutch Backing Plate Retaining Ring (2)-Selective - Measure
- Zero out the dial indicator, then lift the clutch plate stack upwards and record the measurement.
- Repeat the measurement every 120 degrees from the measurement in step 3, completing 3 measurements.
- Find the average of these three measurements from step 3 and step 4. Record this as the clutch travel. Use this number to find the correct clutch backing plate. Clutch Backing Plate Retaining Ring Specifications
