Circuit/System Verification
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify DTC P0641, P0651 is not set.
- If any of the DTCs are set
- Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set
- Engine - Idling
- Verify DTC P2C06, P2C0A, P2C0E, P2C13, P2C17, P30B1 is not set.
- If any of the DTCs are set
Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set
- If any of the DTCs are set
- Verify the appropriate scan tool parameter: Exhaust Camshaft Profile Actuator Position Sensor or Intake Camshaft Profile Actuator Position Sensor = 68 to 85%
- If not in the specified range
Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If in the specified range
- If not in the specified range
- Verify the scan tool parameter: Exhaust Camshaft Profile Actuator Position Sensor or Intake Camshaft Profile Actuator Position Sensor = The parameter value should not change
Perform the action while monitoring the parameter:
- Wiggle the harness and connector: M129 Intake Camshaft Profile Actuator
- Wiggle the harness and connector: M130 Exhaust Camshaft Profile Actuator
- Wiggle the harness and connector: K20 Engine Control Module
- If the parameter value changes
Repair as necessary - Wiring / Terminal (s) / Electrical Connector (s)
- Go to next step: If the parameter value does not change
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets
Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
