Circuit/System Verification

- Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify DTC P0641, P0651, P0697, P06A3, P06D2 is not set.
- If any of the DTCs are set
- Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set
- Verify the scan tool parameter: Boost Pressure Sensor = 50 to 371 kPa (7.3 to 53.8 PSI)
- If not between 50 and 371 kPa (7.3 and 53.8 PSI)
Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If between 50 and 371 kPa (7.3 and 53.8 PSI)
- If not between 50 and 371 kPa (7.3 and 53.8 PSI)
- Verify the scan tool parameter: Boost Pressure Sensor = The value should not spike or drop out.
Perform the action while monitoring the parameter:
- Wiggle the harness and connector: B111 Turbocharger Boost Sensor
- Wiggle the harness and connector: K20 Engine Control Module
- If the value spikes or drops out
Repair as necessary - Wiring / Terminal (s) / Electrical Connector (s)
- Go to next step: If the value does not spike or drop out
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets

- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
