Circuit/System Verification
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify DTC P0097, P0098, P00EA, P00EB, P0112, P0113, P0117, P0118, P14B6, P1682, P16A7, P16BC, P2610, U060F, U1346, U2011 is not set.
- If any of the DTCs are set
- Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set
- Verify the scan tool Freeze Frame/Failure Records parameters listed below are within 25°C (45°F) of the following parameter: Start-Up ECT
- Start-Up IAT Sensor 1
- Start-Up IAT Sensor 2
- Start-Up IAT Sensor 3
- If not within 25°C (45°F) of each other
- {Start-Up IAT Sensor 1} Replace the component: B75C Multifunction Intake Air Sensor
- {Start-Up IAT Sensor 2} Replace the component: B75C Multifunction Intake Air Sensor
- {Start-Up IAT Sensor 3} Refer to: DTC P00EA-P00EC
- Go to next step: If within 25°C (45°F) of each other
- Engine - Idling
- Verify the scan tool parameter: = -39 to 149°C (-38 to 300°F) and changes
- IAT Sensor 1
- IAT Sensor 2
- IAT Sensor 3
- If not in the specified range or does not change
- {Start-Up IAT Sensor 1} Replace the component: B75C Multifunction Intake Air Sensor
- {Start-Up IAT Sensor 2} Replace the component: B75C Multifunction Intake Air Sensor
- {IAT Sensor 3} Refer to: DTC P00EA-P00EC
- Go to next step: If in the specified range and changes
- Verify the appropriate scan tool parameter:
- IAT Sensor 1 = The parameter value should not change
- IAT Sensor 2 = The parameter value should not change
- IAT Sensor 3 = The parameter value should not change
- Perform the action while monitoring the parameter:
- Wiggle the harness and connector: B65 Intake Manifold Pressure and Air Temperature Sensor
- Wiggle the harness and connector: B75C Multifunction Intake Air Sensor
- Wiggle the harness and connector: K20 Engine Control Module
- If the value spikes or drops out
Repair as necessary - Wiring / Terminal (s) / Electrical Connector (s)
- Go to next step: If the value does not spike or drop out
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets
Repeat the procedure starting at step 2
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
