Installation Procedure

    NOTE:

    Coat all bearing surfaces with clean engine oil.

    Exhaust Camshaft (1) - Install

  2. Intake Camshaft (2) - Install

    Ensure that the camshaft notch (2) at the front of the camshaft (1) is in the 6 o'clock position.

    NOTE:

    Coat all bearing surfaces with engine oil.

    Camshaft Bearing Cap (1, 2, 3) - Install

    Camshaft Bearing Cap Bolt (1) - Install and hand tighten [26x]

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Camshaft Bearing Cap Bolt (1) - Tighten in sequence [26x]

    1. First Pass: 8 N.m (71 lb in)
    2. Second Pass: Loosen bolts 60 degrees, use the EN-45059  Angle Meter
    3. Final Pass: 10 N.m (89 lb in)
