When to Perform the Procedure
NOTE:
Failure to perform this procedure may result in poor system performance, DTCs being set, or customer dissatisfaction. Not all ECMs have the Ambient Air Temperature Calculation Reset function available in the scan tool. If not present in the scan tool, a reset procedure in not necessary.
Perform this procedure when the following component has been serviced: B9 Ambient Air Temperature Sensor or K20 Engine Control Module or Battery - Replaced
Performing the Ambient Air Temperature Calculation Reset can aid in reducing the amount of time needed to attain an accurate temperature display, but driving the vehicle may still be necessary.
