WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify DTC P0641, P0651, P0697, P06A3 is not set.
- If any of the DTCs are set
Refer to DTC P0641, P0651, P0697, or P06A3
- Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set
- If any of the DTCs are set
- Verify the following parameters are within 25°C (45°F) of each other:
- Start-Up IAT Sensor 1
- IAT Sensor 2
- IAT Sensor 3
- If not within 25°C (45°F) of each other
Refer to Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If within 25°C (45°F) of each other
- Engine Running
- Verify the scan tool parameter: - IAT Sensor 3 = -39 to +129°C (-38 to +264°F) and changes - Temperature should change with engine run time.
- If not between -39 and +129°C (-38 and +264°F) or does not change
Refer to Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If between -39 and +129°C (-38 and +264°F) and changes
- If not between -39 and +129°C (-38 and +264°F) or does not change
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets
Refer to Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the DTC does not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
NOTE:
To minimize the effects of residual engine heat and heating elements inside the sensor, perform step 3 of this procedure only if the ignition has been Off for longer than 8 h.
