Preliminary Procedures Transmission Replacement (LIH) , or Transmission Replacement (L3T) Position the transmission so that the front of the torque converter is facing up.
1	Torque Converter CAUTION: Lower the torque converter straight down. Failure to lower the torque converter straight down could damage the torque converter clutch lip seal inside the torque converter clutch assembly.
