Installation Procedure

    NOTE:

    BEFORE installing the fuel injection fuel rail fuel pressure sensor, the direct fuel injection fuel rail threads MUST be clean and free of any fuel otherwise the sensor will NOT seal properly.

    To install the NEW fuel injection fuel rail fuel pressure sensor (1) properly, perform the following steps:

    1. Lubricate the sensor threads and sealing surface with one drop of clean engine oil.
    2. Install the sensor and hand tighten.
    3. Remove the sensor.
    4. Re-lubricate the sensor threads and sealing surface with one drop of clean engine oil.
    5. Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Fuel Pressure Sensor (1) - Install and tighten 32.5 N.m (24 lb ft)

    Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Fuel Pressure Sensor Electrical Connector (1) - Connect

  3. Install the NEW tape.
  4. Charge Air Cooler Inlet Air Hose - Install - Charge Air Cooler Inlet Air Hose Replacement 
  5. Air Cleaner Assembly - Install - Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement 
  6. Inspect for fuel leaks using the following procedure:
    1. Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF for 2 seconds.
    2. Turn OFF the ignition for 10 seconds.
    3. Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF.
    4. Inspect for fuel leaks.
