Torque Converter and Differential Housing Installation

1 Transmission Case Locating Pin [2x]
2 Torque Converter Housing Gasket
NOTE:

The torque converter housing gasket is reusable. Inspect the gasket to determine if it may be reused. If the gasket is stuck to the case or pan, it should be replaced.

3 Drive Sprocket Thrust Washer
4 Torque Converter and Differential Housing
5 Torque Converter and Differential Housing Bolt [13x] M8 x 30
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Procedure 
Install a NEW bolt. Do NOT reuse the old bolt.
Tighten in sequence 
  1. First Pass: By hand
  2. Second Pass: 5 N.m (44 lb in)
  3. Third Pass: 20 N.m (15 lb ft)
  4. Fourth Pass: 32 N.m (24 lb ft)
  5. Final Pass: 42 N.m (31 lb ft)
6 Torque Converter and Differential Housing Bolt [5x] M10 x 35
Procedure 
Install a NEW bolt. Do NOT reuse the old bolt.
Tighten in sequence 
  1. First Pass: By hand
  2. Second Pass: 5 N.m (44 lb in)
  3. Third Pass: 20 N.m (15 lb ft)
  4. Fourth Pass: 32 N.m (24 lb ft)
  5. Final Pass: 64 N.m (47 lb ft)
