Pinion Gear and/or Transfer Gear Teeth on the Front Differential Drive Pinion Gear Assembly (8) Inspect for broken or damaged teeth. Replace the front differential drive pinion gear assembly (8). Front Differential Drive Pinion Gear with Transfer Gear Removal
Manual Shift Detent Lever Shaft and Parking System Components Inspect for:
  • Damage, worn or rounded teeth on the manual shift detent lever assembly (402)
  • Binding, bent or damaged park pawl actuator assembly (410)
  • Broken or distorted spring on the park pawl actuator assembly (410)
  • Damaged manual shift detent lever shaft (404)
  • Damaged manual shift detent lever spring (400)
Manual Valve (234) Inspect for wear, sticking or binding. Replace the manual valve (234). Control Valve Body Cleaning and Inspection
