Inspection Procedure

Inspect the exterior of the water pump rear housing for the following:
- Damage to the water pump housing bolt holes (5)
- Damage to the water pump housing sealing surface (1, 3)
- Damage or deformations of the location pin (2, 4)
- Damage, corrosion or restrictions
- Repair or replace the water pump rear housing as necessary.
Inspect the exterior of the water pump for the following:
- Rotate the water pump impeller (4) and inspect for damage.
- Damage to the water pump pulley hub (1).
- Damage to the water pump bolt holes (2)
- Damage to the water pump sealing surface (3)
- Damage or deformations of the location pins (5)
- Damage, corrosion or restrictions
- Repair or replace the water pump as necessary.
- Inspect the water pump pulley, replace as necessary.
