Oil Pump Cleaning and Inspection

- NOTE:
DO NOT allow cleaning solvents to come in contact with either the timing belt or oil pump belt. Ensure both belts are set aside in a location away from cleaning solvents.
Clean all the components.
- Clean all sealing surfaces.
- Rotate the oil pump sprocket (4) and inspect it for damage.
- Inspect the locating pins (1, 3) for damage.
- Inspect the oil pump sealing surface (2) for damage.
- Inspect the oil pump for any cracks or fractures.
- Replace the oil pump as necessary.
