Lower Oil Pan Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
    NOTE:

    DO NOT allow cleaning solvents to come in contact with the oil pump belt.

  1. Clean all sealing surfaces.

  3. NOTE:
    • Ensure proper use of room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) sealant. - Use of Room Temperature Vulcanizing (RTV) and Anaerobic Sealant 
    • All sealing surfaces must be free of contamination prior to applying the sealant.
    • Installation and final torque specification must be completed within 10 minutes after applying the sealant.
  4. Apply a 4 mm (0.16 in) bead of sealant (1) to the lower crankcase extension. - Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers

    Lower Oil Pan (1) - Install NEW

  6. Fig 1: Identifying Lower Oil Pan Bolts With Tightening Sequence

    Lower Oil Pan Bolt (1) - Install [12x]

  7. Lower Oil Pan Bolt (1) - Tighten in sequence [12x] 8.5 N.m (75 lb in)

    Oil Pump Flow Control Valve Seal (3) - Install NEW

  9. Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve (1) - Install
  10. Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Bolt (2) - Install and tighten 8.5 N.m (75 lb in)
