Lower Crankcase Extension Installation

Clean all sealing surfaces.

NOTE:
- Ensure proper use of room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) sealant. - Use of Room Temperature Vulcanizing (RTV) and Anaerobic Sealant
- All sealing surfaces must be free of contamination prior to applying the sealant.
- Installation and final torque specification must be completed within 10 minutes after applying the sealant.
Apply a 4 mm (0.16 in) bead of sealant (2) to the lower crankcase extension. Increase the thickness of the sealant bead to 6 mm (0.24 in) at the marked positions (1, 3). - Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers

Fastener Caution

Upper Oil Pan Bolt (1) - Install [15x]
Upper Oil Pan Bolt (1) - Tighten in sequence [15x] 8.5 N.m (75 lb in)
