Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Install the engine to the transmission. Transmission Replacement (LIH)
  2. Position the powertrain and support table under the vehicle.
  3. Raise the support table to move the powertrain into it's installed position.
  4. Transmission Mount - Install - Transmission Mount Replacement
  5. Engine Mount - Install - Engine Mount Replacement 
  6. Propulsion System Lift Table - Remove - Propulsion System Lift Table

    Remove the left drive shaft (1) from the hoist (3).

  8. Left Front Wheel Drive Shaft (1) @ Transmission - Connect - Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft Replacement - Left Side

    Remove the right drive shaft (2) from the hoist (1).

  10. Right Front Wheel Drive Shaft (2) @ Transmission - Connect - Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft Replacement - Right Side (FWD)

    Automatic Transmission Range Selector Lever Cable (4) @ Range Selector Lever Cable Lever - Install

  21. Automatic Transmission Range Selector Lever Cable Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  22. Depress the cable adjustment retainer (3) locking the retainer completely.
  23. Slide the retainer lock (2) rearward to cover the cable adjustment retainer (3).

  44. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  45. Recharge the refrigerant. Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
  46. Fill the engine oil to the proper level with NEW engine oil. Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement 
  47. Fill the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE-47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static)
  48. Perform the crankshaft position variation learn. Crankshaft Position Variation Learn
  49. If NEW engine has been installed, perform timing belt life reset. Timing Belt Life Reset
