Balancer Shaft Drive Gear Installation

Crankshaft Front Seal (1) - Install NEW

NOTE:

The alignment pin (3) on the balance shaft drive gear must be seated correctly in the depression (2) of the crankshaft.
The depression (4) at the front of the balance shaft drive gear must stand at approximately 12 O'clock.

The balance shaft is correctly adjusted if the alignment mark (1) on the balancer shaft driven gear stands between the two marks (2) on the balancer shaft drive gear.
