Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition ON.
  2. Verify the USB cable is properly connected at all components and in-line connections, and there is no damage to the cable or connections.
    • If connection problems or cable damage is noted 

      Perform the appropriate repair or replacement to correct any issues

    • Go to next step: If no connection problems or cable damage is noted 
  3. Replace the video cable between the K172 Night Vision Control Module and the P16 Instrument Cluster. Ignition ON/Vehicle in Service Mode.
  4. Ignition ON.
  5. Verify DTC is not set.
    • If DTC is not set 

      All OK.

    • Go to next step: If DTC is set 
  6. Replace the P16 Instrument Cluster
  7. Ignition ON.
  8. Verify DTC is not set.
    • If DTC is not set 

      All OK.

    • Go to next step: If DTC is set 
  9. Replace the K172 Night Vision Control Module
