Installation Procedure
Ensure the filter element (1) is installed in the correct hydraulic bore with the pin on the filter element installed in the correct bore.
Lubricate the brake master cylinder reservoir grommets (1) with brake fluid. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir Grommet (1) - Install NEW [3x]
Install the attached brake master cylinder reservoir (1) by engaging the rear clip and lowering the front.
- CAUTION:
Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 5-6 N.m (44-53 lb in)
Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir - Upper (2) - Install - Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir Replacement (Attached)
- Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
- Bleed the brake system. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure)
- Fill the brake master cylinder reservoir to the maximum-full level with GM approved brake fluid from a clean, sealed brake fluid container. Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir Filling
- Check for brake system leaks.
