Installation Procedure

  1. Liftgate Strut Bracket (2) - Install

    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Liftgate Strut Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications 
  3. Liftgate Strut (2) - Install

    NOTE:

    Ensure the clip is fully seated when the rod is reinstalled. If the clip cannot be fully seated, a new rod should be installed.

  4. Install the metal clip (1) to the top end of the liftgate strut (2).
  5. Check alignment of the liftgate and adjust if necessary. Liftgate Adjustment
