Installation Procedure

  1. With the aid of an assistant, install the liftgate. (2)

    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Liftgate Hinge Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications 
  3. Liftgate Power Assist Actuator (1) - Install

    NOTE:

    Ensure the clip is fully seated when the rod is reinstalled. If the clip cannot be fully seated, a new rod should be installed.

  4. Install the 2 metal clips to each end of the liftgate power assist actuator (1).
  5. Liftgate Strut (1) - Install

    NOTE:

    Ensure the clip is fully seated when the rod is reinstalled. If the clip cannot be fully seated, a new rod should be installed.

  6. Install the 2 metal clips at each end of the liftgate strut (1).
  7. Connect the washer hose and electrical connector and retainers..

  8. Liftgate Wiring Harness Grommet (2) - Install
  9. Washer Hose Grommet (1) - Install
  10. Liftgate Weatherstrip (1) - Install
