Removal Procedure

  1. Lower the headlining trim panel (1) enough to gain access to the liftgate electrical connectors and washer hose.

  2. Disconnect the washer hose and electrical connector and retainers..

  3. Washer Hose Grommet (1) - Remove
  4. Liftgate Wiring Harness Grommet (2) - Remove
  5. Liftgate Weatherstrip (1) - Reposition

  6. Remove the 2 metal clips at the ends of the liftgate power assist actuator (1).

  7. Liftgate Power Assist Actuator (1) - Reposition
  8. Release the 2 metal clips at each end of the liftgate strut (1).

  9. Liftgate Strut (1) - Remove
  10. Liftgate Hinge Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]

  11. With the aid of an assistant, remove the liftgate. (2)
  12. Transfer components as necessary.
