Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Replacement: Notes

Removal Procedure

1. Hood Latch Actuator Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

2. Hood Secondary Latch Release Handle (2) - Remove
3. Intake Air Baffle Retainer (1) - Remove [9x]

4. Intake Air Splash Shield (2) - Remove
5. Disconnect the cable end retainer (1) from the latch.

6. Release the hood primary latch release cable from the retainer (2).
7. Disconnect the hood primary latch release cable (1) from the retainers (2).

8. Release the hood primary latch release cable handle retainers (1) from the instrument panel lower trim panel outer filler.

9. Separate the hood primary latch release cable end retainer (1) from the inside handle (2).

10. Disconnect the hood primary latch release cable grommet (1) from the plenum upper panel.

11. Attach mechanics wire to the hood primary latch release cable (2) and pull the cable out.
