Removal Procedure

  1. Open the liftgate.
  2. Using the appropriate tool, release the tabs on the back body opening side center gutter (1).

    NOTE:

    Component removed for graphic clarity.

  3. Release the lower actuator retainer clip using a small flat bladed tool to retract clip slightly while removing strut end from corresponding ball stud.

  4. Liftgate Power Assist Actuator (1) - Reposition
  5. Back Body Opening Side Molding Bolt (1) - Remove

    NOTE:

    Component removed for graphic clarity.

  6. Release the 4 back body opening side gutter retainers and remove the back body opening side gutter (2).
