  5. NOTE:

The battery voltage should stabilize after a few minutes of turning the ignition/vehicle Off.

  6. Test for 12.4 to 12.8 V between the test points: Battery Positive Post & Battery Negative Post
    • Go to next step: If between 12.4 and 12.8 V
  7. Engine - Running - For greater than 15 s
  8. Accessories - Off
  9. Test for 13.4 to 15 V between the test points: Battery Positive Post & Battery Negative Post
    • Go to next step: If between 13.4 and 15 V
  10. Verify the scan tool parameter:

{If available} Battery Voltage @ Appropriate control module = Within 1 V of the battery voltage

    or

{If available} System Voltage @ Control Module = Within 1 V of the battery voltage

    • If not within 1 V of each other

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If within 1 V of each other
  11. Verify the scan tool parameter:

{If available} Ignition Voltage @ Control Module = Within 1 V of the battery voltage

    or

    {If available} Run/Crank Circuit Voltage @ Control Module = Within 1 V of the battery voltage

    • If not within 1 V of each other

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If within 1 V of each other
  12. All OK.
