Installation Procedure

  1. Prepare the brake caliper bracket bolts and the bracket threaded holes for assembly:
    • Thoroughly clean the residue from the bolt threads with denatured alcohol or equivalent and allow to dry.
    • Thoroughly clean the residue from the threaded holes with denatured alcohol or equivalent and allow to dry.
    • Apply threadlocker to 2/3 of the threaded length of the bolts. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers

    Rear Brake Caliper Bracket (1) - Install

    Brake Caliper Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x]

    • First Pass: 100 N.m (74 lb ft)
    • Final Pass: 15 - 30 degrees

    Caliper Guide Pin Seal (1) - Install [2x]

  5. Apply a thin coat of high-temperature silicone brake lubricant to the caliper guide pins.

    NOTE:

    The lower caliper guide pin is equipped with a bushing and must be installed in the same location.

    Caliper Lower Guide Pin (1) - Install

    Caliper Upper Guide Pin (1) - Install

  8. Rear Disc Brake Pad - Remove - Rear Disc Brake Pads Replacement (Without J71) , or Rear Disc Brake Pads Replacement (With J71) 
  9. Install the rear tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
