Removal Procedure
- Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling
Steering Column Replacement (1) - Remove
Instrument Cluster Replacement (2) - Remove
Radio Control Assembly Replacement (4) - Remove
Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement (2) - Remove
Windshield Garnish Molding Replacement (1) - Remove
Sun Load Temperature and Headlamp Automatic Control Ambient Light Sensor Replacement (With Bezel) (1) - Remove
Forward Collision Alert Display Bezel Replacement (1) - Remove
Instrument Panel Outer Air Outlet Replacement - Left Side (1) - Remove
Instrument Panel Center Air Outlet Replacement - Left Side (2) - Remove
Instrument Panel Center Air Outlet Replacement - Right Side (2) - Remove
Instrument Panel Outer Air Outlet Replacement - Right Side (1) - Remove
Radio Front Center Speaker Replacement (2) - Remove
Front Floor Console Replacement (4) - Remove
Instrument Panel Airbag Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]
Instrument Panel Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]
Instrument Panel Bolt (1) - Remove [5x]
Instrument Panel Bolt (1) - Remove [9x]
Data Link Connector Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
Note the location and routing of the instrument panel wiring harness prior to removal to ensure proper installation.
- Disconnect the wiring harness from the instrument panel carrier.
- Raise the instrument panel off the tie bar and support.
- Disconnect the wire harness under the upper instrument panel to the sun load ambient light sensor.
- Position the instrument panel forward.
- Disconnect the wire harness connector to the hazard switch, power outlet, and passenger air bag.
- With the aid of an assistant, remove the instrument panel carrier assembly from the vehicle. (1)
- Transfer components as necessary.
