Installation Procedure

    Position the transmission mount strut bracket (3) to the transmission.

  2. Prepare the NEW transmission mount strut bracket bolts (2) for installation as follows:
    1. Remove all traces of the adhesive patch from the transmission mount strut bracket bolts and the mating threads using the appropriate tools.
    2. Clean the threads of the transmission mount strut bracket bolts and mating threads with denatured alcohol or equivalent and allow to dry.
    3. Apply thread locking adhesive to the transmission mount strut bracket bolts. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
    4. Ensure there are no gaps in the thread locking adhesive once applied to the transmission mount strut bracket bolts.
    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution .

  3. Install the four NEW transmission mount strut bracket bolts (2) and tighten to 100 N.m (74 lb-ft) plus 60 to 75 degrees.
  4. Install the transmission mount strut bracket to transmission mount strut bolt (1) and tighten to 80 N.m (59 lb-ft) plus 45 to 60 degrees.
