Change Timing Belt Message (LIH)

The Instrument Cluster monitors the odometer mileage to determine when timing belt replacement may be necessary. After the vehicle has accumulated 150, 000 miles (240, 000 kilometers), the Instrument Cluster may display the CHANGE TIMING BELT message. After the engine timing belt and oil pump drive belts have been replaced, reset the CHANGE TIMING BELT message by performing the Instrument Cluster control function Timing Belt Life Reset  , using the scan tool.
