Removal Procedure
Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Warning .
Refer to Brake Fluid Effects on Paint and Electrical Components Caution .
- Disable the high voltage system. High Voltage Disabling
- Engine Control Module @ Vehicle - Remove - Engine Control Module Replacement
- Clean all dirt and foreign material from the brake pipe fitting.
- NOTE:
Cap the brake pipe fitting and plug the brake master cylinder outlet port to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Front Pipe Fitting (1) @ Brake Master Cylinder (2) - Remove
Drain the brake fluid out of the master cylinder.
- Remove the radiator surge tank bolts and reposition the heater surge tank from the heater surge tank bracket with the hoses connected. Heater Coolant Surge Tank Replacement
Drive Motor Battery Positive and Negative Cable (1) - Remove - Drive Motor Battery Positive and Negative Cable Replacement
- NOTE:
Cap the brake pipe fitting and plug the brake pressure modulator valve inlet port to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Front Pipe Fitting (1) @ Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (2) - Remove
Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Front Pipe (1) @ Brake Pipe Clip (2) - Unclip [ 2x ]
- Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Front Pipe (1) @ Vehicle - Remove
