CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure

Loosen the four liftgate hinge bolts to adjust the liftgate.
Adjust the liftgate in order to obtain an even gap between the liftgate and the roof, the quarter applique and the rear bumper fascia.

Adjustment

Liftgate to roof (a) 5.5 mm ± 1.0 mm (0.22 in ± 0.04 in)
Quarter applique to body side (b) 4.5 mm ± 1.2 mm (0.18 in ± 0.05 in)
Liftgate to rear bumper fascia (c) 5.0 mm ± 1.25 mm (0.19 in ± 0.05 in)
Liftgate to rear bumper fascia (d) 5.5 mm ± 1.25 mm (0.20 in ± 0.05 in)

Tighten
22 N.m (16 lb-ft)
