Preliminary Procedures

  1. Drain the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static LCV, LGX) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LCV, LGX)
  2. Radiator Surge Tank Outlet Hose @ Heater Inlet Hose Connector - Remove - Radiator Surge Tank Outlet Hose Replacement (LCV)
  3. Heater Outlet Hose @ Heater Inlet Hose Connector - Remove - Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (LCV) 
1 Heater Inlet Hose Connector Retainer
2 Heater Inlet Hose Connector

Procedure

  1. Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static LCV, LGX) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LCV, LGX)
  2. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
