Circuit/System Verification

- Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Perform the scan tool control function: Fuel Pump @ K20 Engine Control Module - On and Off
Verify the component turns On and Off: G12 Fuel Pump
- If the component does not turn On and Off
Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the component turns On and Off
- If the component does not turn On and Off
- Operate the component: Engine - Idling
Verify a condition does not exist with the component: Engine - Stalled/Stopped/Stumble
- Perform the action while monitoring the component:
- Wiggle the harness and connector: Inline Harness Connector @ G12 Fuel Pump
- Wiggle the harness and connector: K111 Fuel Pump Driver Control Module
- If a condition exists
Repair as necessary - Wiring / Terminal(s) / Electrical Connector(s)
- Go to next step: If no condition exists
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets
Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
