- After starting a cold engine, the following scan tool parameter value should rise steadily and then stabilize: ECT Sensor
- DTC P0128 set and a customer's concern of lack of interior heat is a good indication that there is a thermostat problem.
- High resistance in the circuits of the component may set DTC P0128, P01F0 without setting the DTC for the component: B34 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor
- The following parameters should be within 3°C (5°F) of each other if the ignition has been Off for greater than 8 h:
- ECT Sensor 1
- IAT Sensor 1
