Installation Procedure

    Use appropriate tool to remove old sealant. Inspect the threads on the water pump outlet pipe for damage.

  2. Apply a thin layer of sealant to the engine coolant temperature sensor (1). Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
  3. Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (1) - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)

    Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Electrical Connector (2) - Connect

  5. Fill the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static LSY) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LSY)
  6. Start the engine and check for leaks.
