Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Reposition both floor jacks and blocks of wood in order to allow a 1/8 inch gap between the mount and bracket.
  2. Shake the powertrain vigorously by hand from front to rear and allow the powertrain to settle.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Tighten the engine mount to engine mount bracket bolts (1). Engine Mount Replacement

    NOTE:

    Bolts (1 and 4) should remain tightened during the balancing procedure.

    Tighten bolts (3) at the left transmission mount (5) in sequence shown. Transmission Mount Replacement (Left)

  5. Raise the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

    Tighten the transmission front mount bolt (1). Transmission Front Mount Replacement

    Tighten the transmission rear mount bolt (1). Transmission Rear Mount Replacement (All Wheel Drive) , or Transmission Rear Mount Replacement (Front Wheel Drive)

  8. Remove the jack stands and wood blocks supporting the engine and transaxle from underneath the powertrain.
  9. Lower the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
