Engine Front Cover Removal

Remove the accessory drive belt tensioner bolt (1).
- Remove the accessory drive belt tensioner (2).

Engine Front Cover Bolt (2, 4) - Remove [12x]
- Engine Front Cover Bolt (8) - Remove [2x]
- Engine Front Cover Bolt (10) - Remove [2x]
- Engine Front Cover Bolt (3, 5, 6) - Remove and DISCARD
- Remove the engine front cover (1).
- Ensure proper use of room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) sealant. Use of Room Temperature Vulcanizing (RTV) and Anaerobic Sealant
- Clean and Inspect the engine front cover mating surface.
- Remove the front oil seal (9) with an appropriate tool, and discard.
NOTE:
Inspect around the edges of the cover for pry locations. Use a suitable tool at the pry locations to assist with removal of the cover.
