Circuit/System Verification

- Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify there are no related DTCs set in the following system:
- 5 V Reference Circuit
- B23 Camshaft Position Sensor
- B26 Crankshaft Position Sensor
- If the DTC is set
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- Engine = Running
- Verify DTC P2C06, P2C0A, P2C0E, P2C13, P2C17, P30B1 is not set.
- If the DTC is set

- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- If the DTC is set
- Verify the scan tool parameter:
- Cylinder 1 Intake Camshaft Profile Sleeve Position = The parameter state should change
- Cylinder 2 Intake Camshaft Profile Sleeve Position = The parameter state should change
- Cylinder 3 Intake Camshaft Profile Sleeve Position = The parameter state should change
- Cylinder 4 Intake Camshaft Profile Sleeve Position = The parameter state should change
- Cylinder 2 Exhaust Camshaft Profile Sleeve Position = The parameter state should change
- Cylinder 3 Exhaust Camshaft Profile Sleeve Position = The parameter state should change
- Perform the action while monitoring the parameter: Various engine loads - Vehicle driving.
- If the parameter state does not change
Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the parameter state changes
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets
Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
